They will always have centrist Dems leashed on a chain - partly bc they just agree w them on some points/are too sensitive to their whines bc they don’t have fully formed justifications for what the left wants in their minds, yet. Other Dems like Bernie and Warren would have gone way further but it’s just Biden being Biden. My post history shows I used to care sm about it but like I’m a peace now until I see what the midterms bring. A perfect encapsulation with the uselessness of "moderate" (aka, right-wing) Democrats: slapping a bandaid on a gushing wound and then bragging about it. $10,000 will accrue in interest in no time. This doesn't solve anything and does absolutely nothing for the millions of people drowning in hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of debt. The government canceled roughly $100,000 per business that took out a PPP loan, they've bailed out every major failing corporation to the tune of trillions with zero strings attached while us lowly commoners who were taken advantage of largely due to laws that Biden wrote get scraps. Not perfectly happy, but it's more than $0, which is what we're apparently entitled to. $10,000 is a start, and combined with an extended pause helps as well. I've been getting my money lined up for this for a while but recognize that this isn't something everyone can do. I hope the midterms pressure congress to revise how loan interest works as this seems to be one of the biggest issues borrowers have.
