It’s very sad but bear in mind that it’s Summer and this song is perfect for the radio. HMH doesn’t have a catchy chorus, it barely has a chorus to be honest.

Yeah it’s great in a stadium but on streaming and the radio? Nah, the chorus is weak. Fairly flat melody (not in terms of key, but in terms of it stays in one place melodically and barely moves around), production work that doesn’t inspire much interest, and it really isn’t catchy. It may be fun to sing in concert, but catchy it is not.

It’s a more in the times pop song, has indie mixed with quick verse hip hop style singin. It’s okay i prefer hmh

I like HMH but she should have released it as a standalone single like she did for The Cure, it works for the tour! 

I think her team missed a huge promo spot by releasing HMH as the soundtrack. She came from a successful era with Chromatica, her previous soundtrack songs were smash hits, the movie was expected to be huge as well. I think they should have chosen a more fitting song for the film and for the tastes of the GP. It was meant to be a guaranteed hit, despite HMH being released or not even at the same year.

yeah, i don't want to be that person but since the first nanosecond i heard HMH, i knew it was not going to be a big hit

and i'm sure they were aware of this as well but probably thought Gaga's name and the massive impact of the movie were going to do it's job. 

if they would've care to really, really put all their braincells in a single like shallow or SKYFALL she would have secure one of the biggest songs EVER in music history. 

the movie is massive! they are planning in bringing it BACK to the theaters for the fall, again!

I’m happy that this song is doing well, I’m also not surprised that it is because it’s so catchy & so radio friendly. I’ve also heard whilst scrolling through Tik Toks when I should be sleeping, meaning it’s found an audience with a younger/streaming crowd lol.

HMH is fantastic/epic, but it’s also the type of movie song that sounds dated/old school. I thought the films success would’ve ensured greater success for the song, but I guess not. Can’t win them all  The song was received well though.
