Flash floods in Europe possible again next week

As some of y'all have heard, Europe is currently experiencing one of the worst droughts since weather is officially chronicled. The much needed rain is supposedly coming this week, however there's a catch: Some meteorologists are forecasting monsoon-like rainfalls next week.

This is problematic because after extensive periods of heat, dry earth is unable to absorb water, water doesn't trickle down, it will sit on top. 

Some forecasting models predict as much as 300L/m2 per day, which are similar amounts that lead to the big flood of 2021 in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, France & Austria. These are of course first predictions, that hopefully turn out to be inaccurate.

The areas in question that are gonna be prone to the heaviest of the rainfall next week will be: Départments Haut-Rhin, Bas-Rhin, Doubs & Territoire de Belfort in France, Baden-Württemberg, Saarland, North-Rhine-Westphalia, Rhineland-Palatine, Lower Saxony & Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany and Western Switzerland.

This could be pretty useful in recharging still active water sources. Saw some videos of the Paani Foundation in India and the work these villages do for retaining watersheds and preventing droughts is so amazing!
