Love how we all root for her to make the most money knowing, that it in no way affects us and our bank accounts. :enigma:

We poor peasants who dont succeed in life live in happiness by living thru the lens of someone we don't know digitally cuz it almost feels like it's us :zilla:

Then when u remember ur not ur fav and ur just an everyday entertainment audience member and that that life doesn't belong to you, you compensate for ur sadness by stanning your fav even more and trying to once again convince their slayage makes u happy and enhances your life :vegas:

Does that mean it will be more like a drama with a big place for music like ASIB instead of a musical-musical where they're"singing their storyline" for half of the scenes?

Yes!  A Star is Born is actually a drama, not a musical.  This is because the music is part of the story, not used to tell the story.

For a film to count as a "musical" the singing has to replace spoken dialogue (The Lion King, La La Land, Beauty & The Beast, Little Mermaid, West Side Story, Sound of Music, etc).  This is why ASIB competed in Drama at the Golden Globes instead of Musical/Comedy.

How she could perform at a private event and make that money

This is what she is being paid upfront.  She probably has a backend deal for a certain percentage of the profits on the movie.  Plus, if its a musical, she has to be paid for streams/purchases of the soundtrack as an artist (and probably writer if its original since I doubt she would do a musical of original music someone else wrote)

Thank you very much for the explanation! :)

Oh yeah I’m sure she’ll make a lot more, but you can definitely tell she’s not in acting for the money

She is paid a reasonable amount and I am glad she isnt money hungry and want a higher salary. I feel like it would negatively impact her if she earns the same as the title actor. Yes she will bring in fans and supporters but I feel like she would take this role because it is meant for her and not because of the money.
