And honestly it's a pretty impartial fair analysis in the situation. Taiwanese have moved on. And they couldn't be more different from the chinese today, both politically and culturally. China will never stop asserting control over Taiwain, at least not under the CCP. Recognizing Taiwan's sovereignty would, in its eyes, amount to defeat in the Chinese Civil War.
