Madonna never claimed to originate the music and the dance itself; on the contrary she always credited them. She invited the dancers from the actual ballroom scene who introduced her to vogueing and gave them a platform to perform their art to greater masses via her music videos and tours (with the consent of the ballroom legends themselves of course). She namedropped Hollywood Golden Age stars at that time which happened to be all white without making any connotation that they are part of the ballroom culture. It's not ok to change the narrative and discredit her like that. It's great to hear Beyoncé namedropping houses but most of the women she mentioned has nothing to do with ballroom scene either and it doesn't even have to be. They are just giving list of names based on the concept of their choice.
