California declares State of Emergency due to monkeypox

This is VERY unfortunate. I hope that this encourages the government to push the vaccines to every place they can. This may affect our Chromatica Ball dates but it’s better to be safe than sorry

absolutely hate hate HATE how WHO didn't do anything to actively prevent people and media  from thinking this is a "gay illness". They act in this situation as if the AIDS pandemic never happened and didn't learn anyhing from it. 

This is going to backfire massively on the LGBT community and it seems like the people in power and especially those who praise themselves as allies don't care to see the potential danger let alone barely do anything to inform the public that this is not a disease transmitted sexually and solely by men who have sex with men. It's a fact that right now monkeypox occurs within that demographic but more bc it happened to be so and less because it's strictly connected to that group of people. 

Just wait and see once schools open and monkeypox cases going up among children how the LGBT community is going to set up for hatred and violence. Right wing and politicians who hate the west will take this as a lovely present to their followers to manifest their pedo ideologies against us.
