I'm sorry but other skills must be taken into account.
Gaga for instance is a much better overall musician, her piano skills are 9/10 while Beyonce's are a 4? Why doesn't anybody talk about that? Gaga is proficient at the guitar too and she slays at the keytar.

had somebody thought about that? I think that compensates for the dancing and makes Gaga and Beyoncé on the same level

There’s a reason there is a lead singer and the band that supports the lead singer. If Gaga could play the flute, the harp, the drums, the trombone and the violin it doesn’t make her a better performer than BeyoncĂ©.

If you need to keep asserting something over and over for years maybe it isn't as objective as you think. :oprah: Just a thought.

Spoiler

I also think there's a lot of Gaga fans who have not watched enough Bey performances with an open mind, and vice versa as well. It's easy to claim your fave is the best when that's all you watch / listen to :smh: Swifties are very guilty of this.

I have to fully disagree. When a singer is proficient at an instrument it becomes an extension of them and a good one (such as Gaga)  channels their emotions performing along with the instrument. It makes the intimate and so necessary acoustic (as the most human) parts of a performance/show so much better. Imagine Beyoncé was a great pianist and singing Halo or any of her ballads whilst playing the piano beautifully and emotionally. WOW that'd give me shivers and it would indeed make her the best ever but she doesn't lol

Lemonade is her last album
Also Renaissance act i is the first of 3 parts
we can’t judge the lyrical content of the whole project based on act i alone. I guarantee she will be serving more introspective stuff. But I have no problem listening to BeyoncĂ© feeling herself after what she went through on Lemonade. If this is BeyoncĂ© happy and stable in her relationship she deserves that. This album is a celebration.

What I really don't get is, just like Chromatica, RENAISSANCE is literally the artist flexing and feeling herself to empower the listener. Where so many listeners here took it as Beyonce being overly cocky. I'm like no bitch this is for YOU to feel like THE SH!T :bear:

And she is 100% correct. Beyoncé is not my personal favorite artist, but the comparisons to other pop girls just don't even feel right anymore. She's in her own lane. The dedication, quality, and execution of every project is unmatched. The consistency is superhuman. 30+ years in and she's still improving with every release. If Gaga is our generation's Bowie or Madonna, Beyoncé is our Michael Jackson. She's our favorite performers' favorite performer for a reason.

This is my Hannah Montanaâ„ąïž lipgloss.

I find it so humorous that we cannot collectively celebrate what Zara has said and support Beyonce for releasing, arguably, the biggest mainstream black/queer-friendly dance album. So many would rather tear her down for sport. Make it make sense.

Or maybe just allow people to have their own opinion

Nah
I don’t need to see MJ playing an instrument to enhance his performance. His performance was not missing anything. Neither was Whitney’s. Neither is Beyoncé’s.

did you listen to chromatica at all.? Most tracks are about pain.. How's that "gaga feeling herself to empower the listener". let's not compare apples and oranges

When Beyoncé is cocky people get offended because she really is that bitch
so it seems like she’s punching down. I get it.

I do think it's a plus Gaga has and it's not missing because you haven't seen it. The argument of the band is like saying the singer is there to sing and the dancers are there to dance. Of course playing an instrument is another performance skill and it makes a singer more all-around

Gaga herself said the record was to dance through the pain. Since when is dancing not empowering? :partysick:
