rewatched her coachella performance today and i would completely agree. this is not a drag on anyone else but beyoncé gives perfection everytime and that's something no one else can do

This list clearly makes Gaga the greatest entertainer.  If Rolling Stone wanted to give Beyonce accolades, they should have picked a different word than "entertainer".

Not you saying this when that's literally what Gaga has been doing on the Chromatica tour ... For half the show she's either standing still on a rotating disk or sitting on a piano.  They're all getting tired, touring is hard

This thread is the definition of envy. RS did nothing but give Beyoncé her flower for being an extraordinary performer and people find a way to make it all about Gaga.

I don't particularly agree with this statement, however I believe Bey IS one of if not the best performers in our gen of top artists. Her performances are extraordinary to me and VERY entertaining to watch, even though I wouldn't consider myself a hardcore fan (Lemonade is one of my fave albums of all time and I enjoy some of her past music, but don't listen often enough or know every detail about her to consider myself anything other than a casual). She is an absolute powerhouse.

For me, this title definitely goes to Gaga in every non bias way possible. She's not only one of our other greatest performers that we have, but she is SO multi-faceted in her projects and nails it pretty much every time (whether it's considered commercially successful or not, I'm also looking at a personal goal perspective for her that she's revealed as well). She executes so many things really well as an overall entertainer throughout different genres of music/ songwriting, her captivating presence alone (performing acoustic on the piano/ guitar with no props, nothing), acting in both film and tv. Even when she is on social media (not for promo, but actually just kind of how she speaks in general) get's people talking. Not to mention her artistry when it comes to fashion and the knowledge of fashion, you can tell she really cares about that as well when she speaks about it, how she performs in it (be it on stage or in public for the paparazzi or in photoshoots).

thanks for pointing it out. even more awkward when the (presumably white) users of this forum criticise RS for praising a black artist and then go out of their way to try and prove that she is somehow inferior to a white artist when this never had anything to do with Gaga ... Especially considering RS will most likely write the same about Gaga in 5 years if they haven't done so already

Beyonce makes great music, is a cultural powerhouse, and my favorite artist (who basically created the blueprint for pop stars) stanned her so hard that he used to go to award shows and parties asking for her and ignoring everyone else

Exactly.  In their own way, all 3 women deserve the title and kind of share it in their own unique niches. Like each woman is a leg that holds up the stool of Pop.
