Omg I always feel so bad for homeless ppl. I purposely keep change in my wallet (cuz I use credit for everything) just so I can give them something sometimes

 

Imagine looking at them as less than human beings because of their circumstance and status. Disgusting

 

What's even more disgusting is half of people justify their hate by saying sh*t like "they do it to themselves, they either don't wanna work or have addictions"

 

First of all, in this insane economy where the cost of living/housing is so high relative to many incomes it's not impossible for a hardworking person without any addictions to simply end up in that position due to bad luck. Especially if they don't have close family that can help them or bail them out

 

Secondly, even when their homelessness is due to alcohol or drug addictions (which to be fair a large percentage of homeless do indeed have that issue), last time I checked addiction is a form of illness that affects ppl. And they need help and compassion not disgust. That's not a reason to write them off and decide they don't deserve help. If anything that makes them more vulnerable

 

And dam it the people with addiction gotta eat too or they'd die u can't assume every dollar u give them is gonna go to alcohol only

 

I get angry about this cuz I hate to see ppl suffer and the homeless are literally among the most vulnerable group of people anywhere and they literally get sh*t on and treated like crap by everyone

This is ****ing disgusting! They are homeless they already suffered enough why would you do that to them? I’m crying and shaking rn cuz this so ****ed up, what is happening to humanity
