Am I reading this right? Top Gun already has a half billion streams? Does Gaga get credit for that?

you read that right! I dont think she gets streaming credit for the whole soundtrack BUT the soundtrack does supposedly count as part of her discography statistics which is wild!

This is because Danger Zone is also on the score, which was already a popular song on Spotify. Danger Zone has 309 M streams, I Ain't Worried 109 M, HMH 71 M, score tracks between 1,5-8 M streams.

The whole score is credited under her name (with the other composers), but she has songwriter credit according Spotify in HMH and 3 score tracks (with Hans Zimmer and Bloodpop).

That makes so much sense! I totally forgot about Danger Zone and the OR song. So she doesn't get individual Spotify credit for songs that she's not a songwriter for, but the total numbers of the entire album DO count to her overall album sales? Like ones that Chartmasters might include? Or am I totally off? (Sorry, I'm an idiot with this stuff, but I like to try and follow!)

On Spotify she only gets credits for the songs that she has written and composed. Which is basically everything except for Danger Zone, I ain’t worried and one more cover. The soundtrack won’t be a massive success like ASIB but it’s still nice to see her getting equal credit as Hans Zimmer.

Why does ROM not show as her top 5 streams on Spotify?

The top 5 at the top of an artist's Spotify page isn't, despite appearance, their 5 most streamed songs. It's just the most popular tracks for that artist during a given time period. They take into account legacy streams for this (they seem to be the songs that they look at first, which works because those would logically be the songs getting the most streams), but recent streams matter more. That top 5 changes every now and then. I'm not sure how often it's updated (once upon a time it was every 24 hours but I don't know if that's still true), but when it is, they put the songs 5 songs that are getting the most activity during that time period.

It appears the artist's team can also request certain songs to be featured and where on that top 5 they're featured hence HMH, her current single, being #1 on the top 5 despite not even being among her top 10 most streamed songs.

ROM has been there and will be there again, right now it's just not one of the songs the algorithm features.
