Rolling Stone: Abusive Choreographer

This article really makes me wonder how much influence Richy has on things behind the scenes…I mean that entire section about the way Celine was treated before Poker Face and how Gaga was upset and wanted to fix things between them and include her in the video is extremely…weird…

Not going to speculate but now I really wonder how much a role he played in Laurieann’s termination. There’s always been something not quite right there. Hmmm…

Apparently he went private over the weekend once more stories came to light, and I believe people found that all posts tied to the Chromatica Ball were deleted.

he still has posts about Chromatica/the ball. He deleted one Chromatica related post, due to the hate comments on it.

Really? The only one I see is the initial ad from early March when the new dates got announced and one random video from when they rehearsed for the ROM video in 2020, at least I think it’s from 2020.

I just went to check and Richy's instagram is now private... is that a new thing? I bet he's already been cut and they just haven't announced it yet. I predict a statement from Haus of Gaga is already in the works about his departure + her respect for her dancers current and former, etc.

Yesterday I checked it and it was locked too. He definitely knew what was coming.

And btw, his Twitter account has 0 followers LOL. Never before I saw a verified account with literally 0 followers.

It really scares me how, to a lot of you here, being a fan of an artist is more important than demanding justice for abuse victims.

This is a very serious issue, discard your stan cards momentarily and be on the right side of history for once. What a mess.

This article is actually heartbreaking. Hearing what the dancers have been put through and the effect it has had on them, when they should have been respected, protected, and uplifted.

I hope Gaga and her team are currently making the changes that are necessary and are reaching out to all of the former dancers who were affected by this.

Oooh I did see that one too. Omg did you see his Twitter? The trash bandit himself has no followers and following no one. What he deserves.

I'm glad they say in the article that her team is looking into it

(not that I think they wouldn't, I just want it to be KNOWN that they are)

As someone who works as an actor in theater productions, I know a similar working world and how quickly an atmosphere of abuse of hierarchies can develop. This happens even in the smallest details, especially when, as a dancer or actor, you are constantly being asked to follow the instructions and you ALWAYS feel like you are taking too much space when asking for a break, for example, or asking again, how the sequence of the choreography went. This feeling arises constantly and sensitive people are required to guide you and make you feel that it is okay to take your space. Because space is time is money. This article, however, apparently describes a working atmosphere where I would have wished that it wasn't about Gaga's team. That sounds really tough. A workplace fermented by pressure and a boss who doesn't shy away from using the most miserable little remedies so that you obey and don't even think of asking stupid questions and yes, everyone has to dance to their own tune. It's really scary that it's been like this almost from the start. And it's hard for me to believe that the top boss (Gaga) has absolutely nothing to do with creating such a working atmosphere. We know her work ethic, how she always talks about discipline, I don't want to put anything on her for God's sake, but to be perfectly honest it stinks to high heaven. Especially because there hasn't been a message from her side for what feels like weeks. She should have taken a position before the start of the tour at the latest. But apparently it's not that easy, and she even tagged Richy in a picture on Instagram thanking the people who worked so hard for this tour. I'm really scared that Richy is just a piece of the puzzle and we just got a glimpse of the back door that showbiz is so notorious for....

As much as I hate to say this but its pretty common in the entertainment industry.
You don't get to be the biggest star by playing it safe.

"“The only person who came to me was Gaga; she was very emotional and told me that she’ll figure out something for me to still be a part of the video,” Thubert says, but nothing came of this. “I realized then [Jackson] replaced me with no notice, no email, no phone call. They didn’t even call my agent. That’s how I got kicked out [of the video] with no respect.”

When Gaga was asked the following year what happened to Thubert and another female dancer, the then-23-year-old replied, perhaps in a nod to her album, “The fame got to them." Around this time, Gaga dropped all her female dancers and hired four new male dancers for her tour with New Kids on The Block in late 2008."
