Bablyon is a bad example lol it's VERY evident that Gaga used the bassline in Fame as a jumping off point for Babylon and it wasn't going to be used in the final version (which it wasn't). Artists do that all the time when they're inspired by something. You take a song and start riffing on it and wind up with your own thing. I think it's pretty clear that's Babylon. Started with her listening to Bowie then morphed as they worked more and more on it and now the final version is far and away from it

I honestly don’t know what direction they want Ava to go in. MYTP made no noise. 

I don’t see her getting any more smash hits  but she can easily go the Charli XCX/Carly Rae route.

Release music and videos for their fans without stressing about commercial success.
