I've seen quite a few people querying this being the first tour not to feature Paparazzi, despite it being one of Gaga's clear favourites to perform. 

Chromatica is about this trauma & her relapse into trauma again after the BTWB. 

The man she is talking about is allegedly the cowriter & producer of paparazzi.

She clearly knows the song is conspicuous by its absence & its fully intentional. Instead of including a track they made together, giving him coin, celebrating their creation whilst telling the story of overcoming the life altering trauma he caused her, she decided to not give him an ounce of celebratory merit.

This is also why, I think, Alejandro was scrapped. Again, she clearly loves it because she plays with the vocals each time, but it name drops him and is clearly about herself in 3rd person whilst the choruses are putting him in his place.

Further to this, she decides instead to perform Bad Romance & Monster, tracks which clearly call out a sexual predator from 2 different perspectives. One knows that he's a predator but the other one knows she needs him for their work together.

"You and me could write a bad romance" the bad Romance they wrote was Paparazzi. She knows she wants all these dark things from him so they can write an incredible twisted romantic song together & they did, but it wasn't "free" At the end of the day.

In Monster she wanted to "just dance" which is a metaphor for making music, like her song of the same name. But he took her home and was a Monster in bed to her. He ate her heart (made her not want to make music) and her brain (drove her into a psychotic spiral). "Get your paws tight off of me" not consent. "I asked my girlfriend, you seen him round before?" The girlfriend was Lina Morgana.

She is directly shaming her abuser through these songs, especially since they appear so early on and clearly talk about these subjects.

It could trigger her if she documents all her struggles and trauma  then goes singing a song with his name in it and celebrating a track they made together.

"The scars on my mind are on replay" by singing songs they made together, taking her back there.

Thank you for coming to my thesis reading. I will be taking no questions at this time but I hope she never feels the need to sing those songs ever again.

tbh with her new (re)found vocal high placement it would be great to sing it, sing it's usually too high for her this days. and with the rock energy she was giving it would be great to have that crazy remix or a nod to glystenburry edgy gaga

That's a bit of a reach, I think she didn't include Paparazzi because she performed it many times and her discography is getting bigger

All these theories about why she didn't sing Paparazzi or Alejandro will fall once she sing them again on the next tour/Las Vegas. She didn't sing them simply bc she has too many songs at this moment, so obviously she can't keep aaaall of them forever. This isn't the first time she doesn't perform Paparazzi (Coachella) or Alejandro (SuperBowl) and as far as we know, it was her intention to include Alejandro on the setlis (someone correct me if I'm wrong about this).

If Paparazzi was linked to her trauma, she could've dropped it two or three tours ago.

Her discography is just getting too big, thus sacrifices have to be made based on theme, demand and flow.

I think that we really should not be accusing anyone of SA because Gaga has gone on record to state that she wishes to keep their identity private and speculation on a public forum over it isn't productive, and is harmful to Gaga and those you accuse who have not been accused by Gaga herself or proven guilty.

Gaga and fusari were NEVER dating. Gaga herself told Howard stern that the perpetrator lied and told the courts they were dating. She was with Luc Carl between 2005-2008. It was definitely Fusari who took advantage of her because in the video she states that the producer who ass*ulted her threatened to burn her music if she didn’t do what he wanted for him. And there were actually court documents which Fusari ADMITS to threatening to burn her music. Make of this what you will

The setlist complaints make no sense to me.

No pop star, 14 years into their career, can play every single song from the discography. Not every single hit. Not even close. Especially when she's playing the majority of songs from the album she's touring for (and, yes, she played most of Chromatica's tracks). She HAS to play BR, JD, PF, BTW, and Shallow. Everything else? It's all a crap shoot. Just enjoy the songs she chose!

Or don't. Sick of hearing Telephone? Cool. Check your insta during that song. Don't like Lovegame? Go buy a beer. Other fans love both those songs. Let them enjoy them in peace. 

Btw, I LOVE Applause. But it didn't make the cut this go round. I also LOVE Joanne. But no song made the cut. Big deal. Still can't wait for the show.

Bad Romance is inspired by her relationship w Luc Carl no? They were on/off for many years from around 2005

I don’t really have a problem with this set list as I understand she’s had to make some choices. But as much as I enjoy those songs, I feel like LoveGame and Telephone had their time, we could’ve done without those. I’d go as far as saying it might be time to retire Just Dance on occasions: I know it’s Gaga’s first hit, but you don’t find Madonna performing Holiday at every tour for example. A little more risk-taking would’ve been enjoyable, I’m kinda missing a nice deep cut like Heavy Metal Lover, tho I guess that’s what Monster’s here for.

Sorry if this comes across as dumb or insensitive but I thought her abuser was someone unknown? I know Fusari's name has been mentioned, but I thought it was someone anonymous?
