Can we stop centering Gaga in every situation?

I know this is a Gaga site and all, but it always strikes me as weird that some fans will be so apathetic towards the actual victims of a situation and be like "omg I hope Gaga is okay:ohno:"

Like here it is the dancers who have been mistreated. Why are you worrying about Gaga lmao

It reminds me of the dog kidnapping thing, and 90% of the comments were about how Gaga was feeling. As if the dog walker hadn't literally been shot with a gun:rip:

Not that big a deal but I just feel like stans can often lose their perspective lol

True, she wasn't the one being mistreated. But the fact is, it's her reputation that's at stake here. People will just assume that Gaga hires abusive, problematic people and condones their behavior.

I saw users making it about her fibromyalgia (do not make any jokes about it please) and I was just floored. This is literally about the dancers leaving.

Then if that’s the case, the onus is on Gaga herself to come out and condemn this behaviour. It’s not for us to run around like headless chickens panicking on her behalf

I don't like the idea of her being stressed, but imagine what these dancers went through. They deserve all of our compassion.

It sounds like these dancers left months ago, she would be very well aware and I'm sure they were able to find new dancers easily. I'm sure it was sad to Gaga for longtime dancers to leave but Gaga is a businesswoman and she made the choice that keeping Richy was the best business move taking everything into account (maybe timing there wasn't enough time to find a whole new choreographer). Who knows, maybe this will be Richy's last tour with Gaga and some of these longtime dancers will come back.

Of course we love Ga and care for her emotional well-being, but she is a tough businesswoman and can handle her own business. This isn't 2013. She's in the drivers seat

Edit: I've been seeing SA being thrown around in this situation and if that is the case then Gaga absolutely needs to take action

I mean, I get it and agree, but I think people are also centering Gaga is an insane, bad way (as in blaming her for everything) and not just "omg how does Gaga feel." As you said, Gaga isn't the center (in a bad or good way). She's the boss, so yeah, ultimately she hold some responsibility like all bosses do for a bad work environment, but this is mostly about Richey and the dancers.

I see fans blaming Gaga for all of this and saying she must have been aware and how her kindness act is fake, even though the dancers aren't holding her responsible at all (and are clearly reiterating that point multiple times) & the one DM to fans (which are...dubious at best) make it sound like he never spoke out about it before. I mean people are even dragging up her history with Terry, which was at the height of her drug/mental health issues, and trying to connect it to this situation.

Feels like fans either prop her up on a pedestal or assume the worst of her (or even make up sh*t that makes her look bad).

Unless he used bigoted language or physically/s8xually abused someone (and that DM is dubious, not to mention the idea of someone dming a fan like that, and if it is true the dancer makes it sound like he never told anyone before so Gaga wouldn't be aware until just now)...she's not going to speak out several days before the tour. Nobody would in that situation.

I agree and I stand with the dancers. No professional should have to be exposed to a toxic, mentally abusing work environment and I'm glad they had the privilege to speak about their experiences behind the scenes.

I'm sad the person involved is a crucial part of her team, but this has nothing to do with Gaga and it's tone deaf to make the discussion about her, when there's a bunch of people who were genuinely mistreated

And some people act like they personally know Gaga and have been to all her birthday parties, always making excuses or talking for her.

"Gaga is like this, Gaga is like that, I know Gaga would say this or that, Gaga would never X or Y". If her "reputation is at stake" then she needs to take care of it, and if someone on her team is problematic, toxic and abusive then it is HER responsibility to solve the issue for those who are being affected.

In all fairness, users were blaming Gaga and questioning her entire support for mental health, the LGBT+ etc when these revelations came out.  Most people “centering” Gaga in this are defending her from the idea that she is at fault for this like others have suggested.

Exactly! And I hate how they obey her to fire him, to speak up, to do this or that. Damn gurl, this is a person who was to focus on a job and I'm sure she's aware of what's happening... I'm not letting my Chromatice hype being affected by those toxic people online, because it has nothing to do with it.

Anyway, my thoughts go out to the victims and I hope they're happy now :kara:

Well I do worry about her in this because we know she's had things fall apart with her team before and it affected her very badly. She has mental health issues so I'll always worry about her like that

But it's not that I don't care about the others, I feel awful for what they went thru/are going thru

Tbh I've seen more people concerned and worried about the dancers than Gaga tho, especially on twitter

Edit: anyways it's not like we have to pick one or the other to have concerns for.. I don't have a limited amount of empathy :enigma:

I also saw that, specially on Twitter, saying that Richie's choreographies are horrible because they hurt Gaga and are too hard for her condition ?????? like, okay, I guess everyone can suddenly feel Gaga's pain I guess.
