I truly don't believe any meaningful change will happen unfortunately. Congress just agreed on a watered down gun control bill to give the illusion that they're actually doing something, while simultaneously the Supreme Court is limiting what individual states can do with gun control and probably will continue to find ways to weaken gun control with the conservative majority. Republicans will continue to say it's a mental health problem, not a gun problem, yet simultaneously continue cutting public health funding.
