Yeah, it's not accurate but in a COVID era world no one is selling out all the dates. Harry is the closest, but I believe even he didn't sell out every tour date. I suspect Gag's team had to be aware of this fact and that she doesn't have the selling power that she used to (even if she has more power than a lot of fans give her credit for) and the fact that the album is old doesn't help, either. That said, I don't know how much they can do against the unfair scalpers/resale value-artists have complained in the past about it-but they probably could have slashed the prices by 10% and that would have helped. Also some of the locations (though I'm glad people get the chance to see her in those locations)...2 Lt. Am dates, instead of the Netherlands, would have sold out/near sold out like the Tokyo and London dates. And I don't understand the multiple dates in TX, instead of just one, and the Atlanta date... It's a few of the dates in the red states in the US where she's struggling for the most part, and the Netherlands.

Kind of baffled, tbh, that her team scheduled that many shows in those areas (no offense, I'm still glad everyone there has the opportunity to see her) in a COVID era world (where artists with more selling power than Gaga are struggling a bit) and with an older album. And there's still hope...those are the late August and on dates...and I don't know how much her team can do to combat resale/scalpers-I know artists have complained about them before-but maybe they can discount tickets (which will annoy people who already bought tickets tho).... I'm going to be a little manager (lol), but in North/South America...I feel like San Francisco, Los Angeles, one TX date, Chicago, Boston, New York, Toronto, Vancouver, Mexico City, and Rio de Janerio would have made more sense than the current dates. Schwerk 6,984
It's about time they stop with the absurd re-sale prices. Just limit the profit on a re-sale to 10% max. Now many people just buy to sell. According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch
James Gibson 3,438
I agree dates like Arnhem and Houston were not the best picks, but with those high prices y'all have to keep in mind that its underwhelming result probably gross more than any sold-out show in latin america AT ALL. The currency here is way lower than american dollar with a high cost to cover in traveling and everything. Those flop ones at least are already part of an itinerary in the same continent that won't affect their logistics a lot. Plus I bet GelreDome wasn't even expensive to rent. Here's Metallica gross in a São Paulo packed stadium. An average price of $64 but in brazillian currency it means R$343 which is extremely pricey as an average. It's simply not profitable to tour here with an international act in limited dates and terribly high prices like Gaga this year. Plus rock acts sell out much easier here than Gaga ever would. If she put the terribly rip off prices she's pulling everwhere else surely it wouldn't sell out. That's why Coldplay is doing a trillion dates here with low prices + Rock in Rio. A one or two off dates in Rio wouldn't justify its expenses like Tokyo does. And about Italy and Spain: yeah she does well there with arena dates, but selling out stadiums for any artist is tough in those two countries. Many people avoid them cause it's a tricky market. No wonder Gaga never does more than one Milan arena date in her previous tour. It would struggle even more now that her tickets are mega expensive. Some fine album sales or streaming doesn't translate to ticket sales like that. And even tho I'd say Gaga could have some passable result in Italy, I still understand why the team didn't book there. This time around I don’t think scalpers are as bad as her past tours. Los Angeles is the only date that stands out to me for having a ton of resale tickets but that’s because the city is notorious for that. Scalpers know rich people pay big money for entertainment there. I still think she can sell out but it’ll probably come down to day of, after clips of the tour make their rounds on the internet. Sunny21 608
Taylor Swift’s Tour Saw 20K Tickets Given Away for One Show Some 20,000 tickets were GIVEN AWAY TO FILL SEATS at a May stop on Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour a year ago, according to numbers that have come to light due to a feud between the Santa Clara Stadium Authority and the San Francisco 49ers organization over the operation of Levi’s Stadium. According to city officials, Swift’s CONTRACT called for the stadium to be filled to an ACCEPTABLE level, so those 20,000 tickets were given away. TicketNews reported on free tickets being distributed through an unrelated venue in early May 2018, one of several instances where rumors of SEAT-FILLING on the tour swirled despite it eventually being the highest-grossing tour of the year. “They call it papering the stadium,” Santa Clara Mayor Lisa Gillmor said. Based on the methodology of so-called “slow ticketing” (Put tickets on sale far in advance, price as HIGH as the market will bear when your biggest fans are buying, then kick tickets out the back door to fill the building when everything stagnates and the date approaches with a half-full house), it’s unlikely the city of Santa Clara stands alone in having taken a bath on at least one of the “Reputation” stops. https://www.ticketnews.com/2019/04/taylor-swift-promoters-20000-tickets-free-2/ https://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/philmatier/article/49ers-add-second-Taylor-Swift-show-at-Levi-s-13728307.php Is this news? Not if you're a fan. Just because it says 107,550/107,550 doesn't mean all 107,550 tickets were SOLD! 😂 Sites like Pollstar rank artists based on data REPORTED... They're not the IRS, lol. She's over On 7/3/2022 at 5:03 PM, LilyLark said: It's possible...I know it's happened before with some artists because financially it's just too expensive to put the show on...sometimes they come up with an excuse, though, as the PR is not great for having to admit that (Rolling Stone had a piece on this sort of thing years ago)...the only date I could see it (theoretically) happening is Atlanta right now. That said, Gaga's team/label/etc. had to be aware that sales are way down (like I said above, very few artists are selling out more than a few dates...Harry Styles seems to be the exception) so I imagine if need be they'll pitch in more of her own money, etc. I also think a big problem is that the majority of tickets are "verified resale"...people want to see Gaga but don't want to pay the obscene amounts the scalpers are asking... 22 hours ago, StarstruckIllusion said: The 100% sold out isn’t 100% selling out 🙃 Oh well lmao 19 hours ago, LateToCult said: She did. Not you pulling up articles from years back to try n do something. But it still makes no sense to compare Gaga’s tour with past female stadium tours because they were at a much larger scale than her’s. You’re here acting like Taylor selling nearly 90k tickets in 1 city is comparable to Gaga who’s only selling around 40k. You literally can’t peg the other girls down a notch just because Gaga’s demand doesn’t compare
