Best live action Maleficent?

I guess Angelina Jolie is the most popular because her version is the most well known of these three. Personally, I don't like the Maleficent movies at all. I had high expectations! She looked great but she was way too nice. I believe a third movie is in development, but I probably won't watch it.

At least Kristin Chenoweth version was all about being evil, but in the silly style of Descendants it didn't really do anything for me. She was fun to watch tho.

I think Kristin Bauer is my favorite. She wasn't very evil either, but more a villain than Jolie was. I just don't like what the show did with her character. Also I thought that season 4 headdress was unflatering. Overall I still prefer her season 1 look with the curls, because I liked when the show reinvented a character instead of just copy the the Disney versions.

They are all so different, but imo none of these do the animated Maleficent really justice. Also (Spoiler!) I don't understand why they all had to have a daughter.

I really wish there was a darker version of her story out there, like a The Witch (2015) style slow-burn horror about the rise of Maleficent or the extent of her evil.

To answer your question, Angelina wins in my book by default for the impeccable costume.

Yes for the looks Jolie is the best. I also like the way she did her voice, but that's about it.

Why did they make her an heroine is a mystery to me. I hate the development of the Maleficient movies, she’s a villain so make it a bad bitch like the original was.

They couldn't make her that evil, because she was the main protagonist in those movies, and we shouldn't root for someone who is the mistress of all evil lol. Which I get, though nothing from what I like about the og Maleficent or Sleeping Beauty in general, was left in the Maleficent movies.

She just had horns and green flames. Not her dragon transformation, no teleportation, no forbidden mauntains (well for five minutes Ig). I liked the wings idea, but how it eventually played out wasn't interesting to me.
