Legislature = makes legislation Executive = carries out and enforces laws. It includes the president, vice president, the Cabinet, executive departments, independent agencies, and other boards, commissions, and committees. A president, no matter how much they might want to, can't do anything about a Supreme Court ruling. It's now up to each state to decide the legality of abortion. Full stop. When the electorate chose Trump over Hillary? That's when this court decision was made.Ā This same thing will happen when this right wing Court overturns gay marriage.
