Wouldn't a better solution be to just educate people and allow them to make an informed decision? I don’t think cigs or vapes should be banned— my point is I think it’s hypocritical and suspicious that they are so quick to ban juul after just a few years of research (since juul came out in 2015), when the same logic should have had cigs banned in like the 70s lol im sure tobacco companies lobby for vapes to be banned so nicotine addicts have no choice but to smoke cigs. May not be better for you, but I believe vapes are a harm reduction to cigarettes. ^^^^ I’m wrong on that. After researching most vapes are apart of big tobacco companies , so I take it BACK. I’m just a cynical girl

Money That's not just it. I used to believe in banning these substances but history has shown that banning things like this just makes it harder for people to acquire them, makes an illegal black market, makes it easier to sell expired and dangerous unregulated substances on such markets, and creates unnecessary problems. Just look at the prohibition era in the US. It just never works. Same way banning abortions just makes abortions unsafe, it doesn't eliminate them. chaeri pls
