AbhainnTirim 256
Thank Jesus. I was so scared that right winger would win. Let’s hope that this president keeps his promises, and actually delivers a leftist agenda. Congratulations Columbia!

LDGA 1,239
Wont lie to you, people is as happy as scared, the right wing tried to not let him win with the tale of him being a "comunist", it worked 4 years ago, but this time people got tired of the corruption and lies. We are all hoping and praying for him to be a good president, our country needs it, we have been in war for 50 years, he wants to achieve the peace and we have the hope that he might be able to achieve it.

Among the key points of his program, he proposes an agrarian reform to restore productivity to 15 million hectares of land to end "narco-latifundism"; a halt to all new oil exploration in order to wean the country off its dependence on the extractive and fossil fuel industries; infrastructure for access to water and development of the rail network; investment in public education and research; tax reform and reform of the largely privatized health system.Petro announced that his first act as president will be to declare a state of economic emergency to combat widespread hunger.” Nothing terribly risky. It’s not unlike the centre-left proposals in Europe. The democratic socialist must’ve been a more self-prescribed label? Which many leftists do tend to give themselves

Which many leftists do tend to give themselves This all sounds great but the user said he's MORE left than AOC. I expected something very very extensive like 90% taxes (AOC essentially already proposed tax rates that would reach 80% to 85% essentially if State taxes are included)
