Elon Musk sued for $258 billion over 'Dogecoin Pyramid scheme'

Elon Musk, SpaceX and Tesla were sued in federal court Thursday over claims that Musk directly “manipulated” the price of Dogecoin in a deliberate “crypto pyramid scheme” conducted over Twitter.

Plaintiff Keith Johnson – who purchased Dogecoin in 2021 – is seeking a class-action lawsuit against Musk and his companies SpaceX and Tesla, for at least $86 billion in damages.

Johnson argues Elon drove up the price of Dogecoin with his tweets about it, but that the currency lacks “underlying value” and Musk promoted it for his own “profit, exposure, and amusement.”

Johnson is also seeking court orders to prohibit Musk from promoting Dogecoin, and to declare Dogecoin trading a form of gambling, under federal and New York law.

Elon musk is a powerful enough lobbyist as much as an aristocrat to evade these accusations. We already know how this will end. The poor always end up paying the rich. I just wish Elon would focus on spacex and tesla in providing quality products for the general public. His glorification needs to be stopped.

Doge coin was always meant to act as a joke since its creation back in 2013. People who bought into it without doing any research just because Elon suddenly spoke about it is a pure idiot.

It's not a scam or whatever, it's literally not hiding the fact that it's a meme coin.
