FfFfFfFF 58,113
Canada and Denmark settled their border dispute on Hans Island. Now both countries recognized each other's claims over half of the island's territory (Before any Danes come for me, yes, the island doesn't belong to Denmark directely, but to Denmark on behalf of Greeland. This leads to some interesting trivia nonetheless: - Before this Canada's only land border was with the US and Denmark's only land border was with Germany. - Now both countries have land borders with 2 countries (Canada borders the US and Denmark, Denmark borders Canada and Germany). - You may now say Germany is one two countries away from the US

What took so long I'd imagine very often it went on the back burner of political issues and got forgotten about given its hardly a pressing issue and probably only resurfaced as a major discussion between both countries occasionally if I had to guess Glad it's finally resolved tho. See it is possible to settle land disputes without guns

Ayesha Erotica 1,924
thanks for the info, but I think we should not forget that Greenland has an indigenous population and has been colonized by Denmark and the indigenous population is under foreign control. And that Northern Canada als has indigenous populations that are robbed and badly treated by Ottawa . I think both Greenland and Northern Canada should declare independende and re-unite together into one country or form a confederation on their own.
