I don't think its curable, but he can get better and the symptoms can go away. I think people with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome have it for life and it can reactivate again.

My mom has a similar thing happened to her. Took about six months to correct itself. No fun for sure.

it Happened to me some 5 years ago. I thought i had a stroke or something. I could move half of my face at all. You can still see in the eyelid and lips. But yeah it was not much longer than a week and then normal. But they gave me nothing. And were pretty sure it was some psichiatric pharmac that i didnt took regularly

This is truly terrible and heartbreaking.

The issue is, full recovery is not guaranteed. And it really sucks that this strikes at such an early age.
