Postmates debuts bottom friendly menu for pride

The fact that there had to be extensive meetings about this campaign with most likely a bunch of older straight white gentleman, makes me feel like a sideshow freak - that after hrs of discussion and approval, the best way these big name corporations thought to reach out to our community was to give us a way not to sh*t ourselves during sex cause that’s apparently all that takes up the average gay man’s time - let alone neglecting our lesbian, transgender, non binary, queer, and asexual friends. Yeah you might say that we’re lucky to be represented at all this month, but it’s possible to tarnish the image of our people even by supporting it. There’s ways to uplift and empower queer people  without talking about what we have to do to our a**holes.

to each their own i guess but there are better and more mindful ways to help lgtbq+ thrive socially, economically, mentally

I said what I said. They could have hired hundreds of queer doctors, we all know who’s calling the shots and the fact that they thought this was the best message to send during pride month is still sad to me.

This is so weird. This would make some sense for, say, the week leading up to valentine's Day but Pride isn't meant to be about sex (or focused on gay men only).

TO BE HONEST no wonder there is people that hate us. I'm sorry to say this but the way pride has developed to present itself on a cooperate level is going into a direction that is totally dangerous for all queer people. We live in a time where democracies are in danger because societies all around the world are splitted into many isolated bubbles and all the LGBT community has to offer is a pride month that seems to put emancipation and empowerment in a way where it's only directed towards our own sexual fantasies as if the sexualization of LGBT+ people has never been a problem in our society. 

Every time there pops up an ad where LGBT+ friendly cooperations present things like this ad there is people that already hate us only gonna hate us more by confirming their twisted beliefs. 

If anything pride has to be more than showing off our sexual freedom. It's important that there is space for us to show this but I feel like times has changed so much that even pride celebrations with people on streets wearing their fetish wear is too much. There is a dynamic going on that is fueled exactly by these pictures of being "too sexual" that ultimately is going to backfire.

 In a time where we are literally being offended by a priest preaching our death sentence as if we live in the 1940s and there is an disturbing amount people having consent with this I feel like pride has to be about inviting even these people to tolerate us and idealistacally accept us. We are still the minority and it's just so naive to think that these people that are targeting their weapons on us will change if we keep priding about our top and bottom food ... on a cooperate level. Please don't come for me I wrote this with a bit of exaggeration for a reason but I really needed to say this .. I am honestly very worried for our rights to be taken away in the near future because politics really showed no care or mercy in the last two years and I fear that's only the beginning

I am having a visceral reaction of disgust to this for so many reasons. Why the f.uck do corporations think it's okay now to discuss gay mens sexual habits in order to sell food?

We have somehow done a full 180 and looped back around... from being ridiculed/the butt of every joke because the world wouldn't accept us, to being so accepted that we are a nothing but a joke again

People are so fragile in this thread omg. If you’re ashamed of talking about the body and sex, ask yourself why. If this was a campaign about women’s sexual health and enjoyment, no one would be having negative reactions. If you think this gives people ammunition to hate us, newsflash, they already do. I think there is a lot of shame about bottoming, and the fact that people are so up in arms about this proves that.

You do need to take special considerations when you are preparing for an*l, and diet does factor in to how easily and effectively you can douche. So what is the harm in talking about this and why is it so disgusting to all of you? 

If you’re not interested in the menu or you can “eat whatever and not worry”  then don’t buy anything off it.

This isn’t about shaming bottoms, it’s the fact that postmates, a big name corporation established in delivering groceries, is trying to sell their service by essentially exploiting the sexual habits of the queer community. It feels invasive, slightly violating, and it boils pride month down to nothing more than a glorified sex romp. And to your point about women, it’s like if Uber ran a campaign about what food women need to order during their menstruation cycle or what food to avoid to achieve a better orgasm during women’s history month. It just feels out of place and uncomfortable and way past the point of pandering to the gay community.
