Winston Churchill (British Prime Minister during World War 2) once said that the Americans always end up doing the right thing…20 years after everyone else has done it or something along those lines. I’m not sure. And for those interested, I am not a fan of Churchill at all; this statement just makes a lot of sense!

Sad  that some of those people are not going to be able to check those malicious statements because they cannot read. 16% of Texas adults do not have a high school diploma. 10% cannot read beyond a third grade level. More than that if including immigrants. 1 in every 10 people can not read  the bible.

[In regards to Romans, the guy took stuff out of context, left out a significant long list of bad  things, and incorrectly declared that people were to murder, when that was actually one of the bad things in the list of depraved things. Then the very next verse is the one about people not judging other people. So, the bible does not say what he claims it says, imo.]

The following site lists some other facts about Texas. As an aside look at how many billions of dollars could be saved on healthcare if everyone could read. It's enormous!

Regarding guns in Texas .... When in Rome, do as the Romans do. When in Texas, do as Texans do.

Guns are simple enough that any idiot can shoot one, and often do. I learned gun safety and skeet shooting in a high school gym class. I used to shoot pinecones out of trees for target practice.

Serious question for anyone who has American law knowledge: Are his statements protected by the first amendment? even though it is clearly hate speach and is also literally inciting people to murder? shouldn't he be persecuted for this/is he going to?

I'm glad I can just speak with a flat American accent but sometimes it feels like that country one comes out a little too easily :messga:

I was born, raised, and still live in the deep south of the US and I can tell you with complete assurance that every single person I know who is a church-going Christian (the vast majority of my family and relatives plus co-workers) would say that this is extreme without ever outright disagreeing with it. Christians in America (or at least the South) focus on what they believe the bible says you shouldn't do or be instead of what you should do which is love everyone with judgment. They like to have an us vs them mentality and constantly place themselves in the position of being victimized because they are upholding God's word.

Christian from the south and I hope I don’t come off this way to anyone.

, in books such as Leviticus, “Man shall not lay with a man as he would with a woman”

Wait until they find out the actual translation is more in line with “man shall not lay with CHILD” :ohwell:
