Are there artists that you dive completely into their music catalog and then completely fall out of it? I know, it’s a weird question.
 

For context: it’s Ariana for me. I’ll really get into her music for weeks and then just completely stop listening for many months before rediscovering. In contrast, with Gaga I feel like she’s always on my playlists and I’m always listening to her in some capacity, even if it’s just a random song here or there.

 

Am I a complete weirdo or do y’all do this to?

For me it was Katy during the Prism era. That whole era I ‘stanned’ but as soon as the era was over I completely forgot about her. 
 

Same with Ariana. I was ‘stanning’ during the Sweetener era, I was obsessed with NTLTC but again, as soon as thank u, next era began I got sick of her

 

and then it was Nicki. I ‘stanned’ during the Queen era and then got sick of her.

100% agree. I used to refer to her as a singles artist, because I only really cared for her singles. But, especially recently, I will be obsessed with her songs for a few weeks and then I literally can't force myself to make it through a whole song.

Most recently was TUN and fake smile. I was so obsessed with that song but now I can't even make it halfway through before it gets boring and I want to skip.

I do this with all artists except Gaga, Stevie Nicks, and Fleetwood Mac

There's too much music out there for me to not do this with most artists lol. Gaga and The Sounds are the two that I circle back to the most. But everyone else that I like, I try to listen to in the best rotation system possible, which still leads me to not listen to an artist for years.

These days that's actually Gaga. I don't listen to her nearly as much as I used to, but when I do have the desire to, its usually all I listen to for a few days. But honestly I rarely visit her discography other than Chromatica, Joanna, and Born This Way. In fact, according to Last.fm, since April 28th, I've only listened to her 20 times.

I just realized I did the same thing with The Prodigy. I was a big fan, I have the albums, but their are out of my playlist's this days, I guess I need to start listen to them again.

I feel like I do this with almost all artists except Gaga and Marina. I like to listen to entire discographies at a time and then move onto another artist. Once I cycle through, I will repeat when I start to miss certain albums or songs.
