Idk, I saw a drag queen do a reveal upside down and I DIED. Perhaps these conservatives (synonym for personality disorder) take that stuff literally

i think drag kweens have the common sense to tone down some jokes if there's kids at their shows, this is a little too much

their priorities are ridiculous and judging by last events, dangerous!

Kid-friendly drag shows exist and kids aren't supposed to enter clubs/ night bars so they normally don't see the sexual drag shows more than they see a striptease.

And yet I'd be willing to bet he's fine with those ultra creepy little kid pageant shows. Just a feeling.

So a state that claims to preach “small government” and “letting parents parent”

. . .

is now trying to tell parents how to parent. . . got it!

This has long been how the Republican Party approaches most issues. They like using the talking point of "small government" because it sounds good and makes people think of freedom but the reality is they are the same party trying to control gay marriage, reproductive health and trans issues, immigration (from Central and South America, specifically), what is taught in schools, and what religions are worth respecting and observing.

The only thing they actually want limited government for is taxes, regulations (specifically with oil and the environment) and guns. With every other issue, they want to actively police how everyone else lives if it doesn't fit their Christian, heteronormative "values", which they often don't live up to behind close doors.

Even though Democrats aren't perfect, I will never vote Republican as a gay person and as the son of an immigrant. For people to believe the Republican Party cares about the little guy and protecting people's rights from the government suggests they don't know anything about politics and probably shouldn't be voting. The Republican Party creates these kinds of issues basically out of thin air (when is the last time you saw a kid around a drag queen? How many trans kids are really competing in high school sports or getting hormone therapy when they're 10 years old?) and use them to scare their constituents into thinking negatively about something most of them would have never cared about to begin with.

I am so glad I moved away from Texas. California may be on fire, running out of water, and facing an extreme homelessness and affordability crisis, but I can sleep soundly knowing the government is never going to try to control what I do with my personal life.

It’s all GOP projection. There is a long list of disgusting conservative scum who have actually inappropriately abused minors.

So does that mean a touring production of Hairspray will be adults only now? Disney on Ice generally uses women to play Mowgli or other male kid characters. Will those be deemed inappropriate and banned?

I will never forget about the Duggar family, the 19 kids and counting family. A few years ago, Michelle Duggar, the mom, recorded a robocall that said to not allow transwomen  in womens restrooms. She referred to them as “men” and predators. Oddly enough, she raised a predator who abused his own siblings. And he recently was convicted of possession of horrific stuff.

THIS WINS.

They conjure up these fantasies and then weaponize them . . . and it works :toofunny:
