FfFfFfFF 58,113
The Sviatohirsk Cathedral, important Ukrainian heritage and religious site, became the recent target of Russian shelling. On 30 May, the frontline reached the great Monastery. 2 monks and 1 nun were reported to die during the shelling and the monastic buildings are also said to have been partialy destroyed. The monastery dates back to the 16th century and was also housing many refugees. With it, and the city of Sviatohirks under control, the Russians now fully seized the eastern banks of the Siversky Donetsk river. Magui 2,654
Lately it's always bad news ( in a war of course it's always bad news). It seems that Russia will take about 20% of the Ukrainian territory, unfortunately, at least that's what I'm seeing in the news.

The west dragged its feet too long in sending critical advanced weaponry to Ukraine. It's like the venetian fleet that could've saved Constantinople but never arrived in time. Ultimately there's a fear that Russia could escalate the conflict more and more countries will be dragged to war...from de beginning it was clear that Ukraine will have to deal with Russia alone in the sense that critical advance weaponry wouldn't be provided. The west is helping but not with that kind of weapons. Anyways it's happening what I was thinking in the beginning, that Russia would take those territories, but Russia started invading everything and bombing everything. I just feel sad about it, cause Ukrainians can't do much more. It enrages me that a country can just invade and destroy another country just like that, appropriating their cities, ports, their goods...😔. Enrages me all the deaths, and destruction that Putin caused and that's it, the Ukrainians will have to deal with it.

Russia's invasion increased its speed in eastern Ukraine, but we are still talking about advancements that are a few dozen kilometers. Russia's wins are not that essential, for instance Severodonetsk used to have 100k inhabitants. Although symbolic for the Luhansk region, i's not Kyiv or Odesa.. The good news fom Ukraine are the counter-attacks in Kherson, where they liberated a few villages though. I can see Russia taking villages on a daily basis until they occupy the entire Donetsk, as for attacks on Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv or Odesa .. I don't know when or if they will happen. When all is said and done, Ukraine might have lost 30% of its territory to Russia.

I hope Russia can't ever take Odessa, i hope that Ukraine can defende that part of their territory with everything they have. The same about Mykolaiv and Zaporozhya. 30% of their territory it's an affront . Plus all destruction, suffering and deaths caused across the country. It's a **** up world rule by vile leaders, sometimes i truly want to believe that there's a divine justice, cause the human justice will never make Putin pay for this. The type of justice you may be talking about does exist. Putin's soul is already in hell, do not think he can feel at ease or look at the sunrise and feel peaceful, he is tormented. Unless he does something substantial to change, this is his future, in this life and after. Whether he admits or not it's not possible that he doesn't have torment in his soul.
