Ukraine regains control over settlements in Kherson regin

In recent weeks, the situation in Kherson/ Mykolaiv provinces remained in prolongued stalemate, however it was announced Ukraine began a new effort to take back the lands west of the Dnipro river in western Kherson. After Ukraine's note-worthy acts of reclamation of Kyiv and northern Kharkiv, Kherson region emerges as an area that 800px-Flag_of_Ukraine.svg.png could potentially take back next, however it needs to be noted that this region is not forested, like the north and east of Ukraine, instead it consists of fields and low altitudine plains, which are by default unfavorable for military operations - moreover, Kherson is close to Crimea which is Russia's main military outspost to the south of Ukraine. But, if successful, this will alleviate pressure of Mykolaiv (which is 20kms from the frontline) and might even set the conditions for Ukraine retaking Kherson city itself, which is the only oblast capital occupied by Russia since February 24.
