Texas Police being examined for Uvalde shooting

All of them need to be added to the unemployment list, and thrown in prison. Texas’ law enforcement is so toxic; I saw a video that confirmed these dummies were securing the safety of their kids first in that school while essentially pulling taser guns on standby against the other parents that had to wait to find out if their kids were even okay. It’s like everyday the situations here in the US continuously get worse; as human beings, as a society, we have learned nothing from the past and allowed our elected officials to be men and women for hire by corrupt ass organizations like the NRA. The fact that they scream and shout owning a gun is more important than the safety of everybody else…

100% support investigating the police but I just cannot support this statement;

”Blame the police, not the gun!” 
 

The gun done the damage, the police’s inaction exacerbated it. We cannot give excuses to the NRA and Pro-Gun lobbies to distract from the fact that a lack of gun control is the primary reason for the fact that the US has more mass shootings than days in a year.

Hearing about this has infuriated me like no else because for years, cops and their apologists have been spewing the rhetoric that people who want abolish the police will regret saying so when they're the ones that need help and YET, these children needed help and nothing was done for an hour.

Like, how are you going to ask people to respect what you do when you don't even do what you're supposed to do?

I saw those videos as well. Most of Texas is very racist so when there’s tragedies involving the minority they always do the bare minimum. Oh but god forbid there’s a shooting at a white neighborhood… and yes I went there

Cops want to play soldiers but then all of a sudden got scared by one gunman claiming they were outmatched when they outnumbered the shooter 4 to 1. The theory that a good guy with a gun can save the day is literal trash.

Nah see the real answer is to give teachers the guns. You know, the people who can potentially be surrounded by up to 30 children who work in a classroom where donations are relief upon for pens, pencils, and paper.

That's the real answer here. Ban the books, give them all guns.

I’ve been throwing myself into a cesspool and have been reading comments on conservative social media posts. There are so many conservatives who indeed think this is the solution. I’ve seen countless people post of how the US gave Ukraine aid and how that money could have gone to arm teachers.   I’m like “why don’t you guys advocate for paying teachers more.” One person who commented was one of those weird fundamentalist Duggar-family type people who goes to a Bible college.

 

I’ll never forget seeing a man’s T-shirt at a theme park. It said “Family, Faith, Freedom, Flag, Firearms.” These people have a weird obsession with murder weapons.

I even saw one tweet that blamed liberals. Stating something to the effect of "this didn't happen until all this woke sh*t started with race, gay stuff, and gender".

These people are absolute morons. It's a shame the rest of us are the ones who suffer because of it.
