I finally went on accutane and it cleared it up and now its been two years and i dont have breakouts. my acne wasnt that bad or cystic but i had tried antibiotic treatments on and off for some time. They worked for some time but it always came back. So i talked to the derm at my college and calculated the dosage of isotretinoin for myself and started using it. (im studying med and i did consult the derm to ask whether my calculations were right. What i want to say is that dont do it yourself and ask a doctor for its prescription) I had some side effects. I had bloody nose when i first started it. Lips remained dry and chapped throighout but i increased my water intake upto 3L a day and used lip moisturisers and that fixed it.
