I love the song – it's a total grower and gets better with every listen. She looks the best she's looked in any of her music videos in years, IMO and looks so beautiful (I just wish she's stop with the lip filler, she was gorgeous without it).

please go watch the Take My Breath Away mv lol, it also has movie clips. pretty much all movie soundtrack singles like this have a mv with movie clips.... 

the movie clips add a lot to it imo, they picked good clips to use against the lyrics pretty purposefully & thematically

Couldn't see it yesterday as GGD was down and I only had a short time on my laptop anyway before I had to go so I knew it would have to wait until today. Of course I wish that there were more clips of Gaga, especially the one of her lying on the plane, like in the single cover, but I know this is the drill with movie soundtracks - the focus is on the movie, not on the singer. ASIB was obviously different because she was playing a character who was singing in the movie so we saw far more of her. She looks so hot and so into her performance. I kinda wish we hadn't heard the plane sound right as she hit at the first big note because that's my favourite bit (before my comment in the initial reaction thread to the song got deleted in the Tuesday debacle, I said that turning a line into "ohhhh yeahhhh" with electric guitar in the background is a major music kink of mine!) but other than that, pretty awesome cinematography there.

My only real gripe is, where are all the Gaga fans viewing this? According to my calculations, it had roughly 2.6 million views and 172k likes in the first 24 hours. There were similar low views and likes for the audio previously, even though Gaga has over 21 million subscribers. I know not everyone's a fan of this song but this is new Gaga music for a major movie and is a song that could get her another Oscar nomination at the very least. Aren't more people interested? Don't you not want this to be a hit? It's in the same vein as Shallow, which most of us loved.

Exact same experience; I have never had any interest in watching the original, nor the sequel; not my kind of film, and the Heir of Scientology scares the **** out of me after watching Leah Remini’s brilliant docuseries.

Nevertheless, this MV maintained about 50/50 shots of Gaga vs the film, which is actually quite a lot for a soundtrack MV (for examples of the usual fare, watch, say, “Don’t wanna miss a thing,” by Aerosmith; 95% of the entire video is scenes from Armageddon). Which, incidentally, is what would’ve occurred on GGD if “Hold My Hand” had the same treatment 

Also, black and white alone does not equal Joanne; this was more reminiscent of a stripped down “You and I,” in my opinion.

Overall, Gaga made a great song and solid video, irrespective of the film at all. I especially appreciated the plane having “LG” on it

Unpopular opinion but I don't like the plane scene that much. I like the plane part but her dress blowing makes the whole thing look messy. It blends in with the sand and it looks like she's tangled in it. It would be better if there was less fabrics pieces and a nice red colour.
