Last week, Tom Cruise couldn’t get to Las Vegas for Cinema Con and the presentation of ā€œMission Impossible 7.ā€ He sent a video. He obviously didn’t want to meet the fans, let alone the press.

But last night, Tom managed to get to Vegas to see Lady Gaga’s show. As I told you exclusively last year, Cruise commissioned Gaga to write the song for ā€œTop Gun Maverickā€ after seeing her in concert. He chucked the song– and the singer– that had already been hired. I can tell you that those people are not so thrilled with him.

It's a scam that brainwashes people into giving the leadersĀ hundreds of thousands of dollars in exchange for learning more about "the truth" aboutĀ themselves or some bs. It's a cult, you can't voice your doubts or disapproval of anything or you will be punished - more fines, ostracization etc.Ā Ā Kids are born into the cult and have no chance of living a normal life... from birth they are taught this is normal.

Tom Cruise and other high ranking members basically thrive off the money of all the peasants. Tom literally has slaves doing his chores and house work without compensation.

If you want to leave Scientology you will be cut off from everyone you know who is still part of it - even your family. They are forbidden to contact you forever. Families are torn apart.Ā

Also because they claim to be a religion they are tax exempt.Ā Ā :spin:

I'm not trying to play devil's advocate or even really make a point, simply pointing out an observation but...this sounds like Christianity :billie:

Except instead of movie stars and Hollywood weirdos, it's mega churches and racist people :rip:

Didn't she learn nothing from her previous poor people judgement (e.g. Perez, R. Kelly)???

This is PR and marketing and they are not buddies hanging out with him having access to her inner circles. It's really not that big of a deal. I can see people being disappointed in the fact that she is a lifelong advocate for mental health and with Tom's very public beliefs being anti-mental health, there is a disconnect between what she stands for and who she is working with. HOWEVER, we all have to work with people that we don't agree with 100%. There are levels of people's evilness in the industry. Working with R. Kelly who sexually abused women for decades with the whole world knowing he did it is unacceptable and she should have had stronger repercussions from it honestly. But it is in the past. I wouldn't put Tom and R. Kelly anywhere near the same level. Religion has grown into aĀ twistedĀ weapon and is more like a cult for others to celebrate common hatred than uplifting spirituality. He is brainwashed and probably an asshole like most men his ageĀ but he's not physically assaulting or sexually violating anyone.Ā

ALSO, according to Tara, she was born and raised in Scientology to the point where her family moved to Florida to be a part of the main community living there. She claims she escaped the religion and lifestyle as a teenager or in her early 20s. I am not a fan of Tara but I remember seeing or hearing this on her Instagram. Someone who keeps up with her more closely could confirm.

I mean one huge difference is I left Christianity but I can still speak to my family.

It's very different because at least in other religions there are some good people... who actually believe in the good parts of the religionĀ  Scientology is a scam top to bottom thereĀ isĀ no good part of it. But I recommend doing your own research, don't just take my word for it.

I was thinking more about Christianity along the lines of the Westboro Baptist Church styled worship, not casual religious people :lolly:

Also the mega churches resemble cults to me, very much so in the same vain as Scientology is. Even down to the millions of dollars of tax free profits :bear:

Yeah I find some of these reactions wild. I dislike Scientology strongly, but don't think this is anywhere near the level of R Kelly, etc.Ā  One can also look at it as a) it's bad he's a Scientologist and b) these people are brainwashed asf. Also I highly doubt he's living off other people's scientology money...he's made a ton of money producing Mission Impossible, etc....or has slaves. It's been widely documented the celebs are presented with a very sanitized version of Scientology, even the higher ups.

Edited: Also I'm a massive fan of Gaga, but I learned not to put her (or any celeb) on a pedestal. Sis makes mistakes...not to mention she talks like this about everyone, from Salma to Adam Driver to Al Pacino on the Gucci tour.

Well...Ā :selena:

I don't think there is any risk at all of Gaga becoming involved in scientology, they are VERY against psychiatry, mental health medications, etc so that's not going to fly with her, but still.Ā

Hopefully this (and the premiere I'm assuming) areĀ the only promo we get of them together and then we never see him again. Celebs always play up their working "friendships" I'm hoping this is just that.Ā
