I've seen religions, including mine, which are much more horrible than whatever Tom Cruise does lol.  Plus, just because you are kind and friendly to a person doesn't mean you support everything they do.

Now you're being dramatic. I barely comment on her and her actions. I only expressed my disappointment. So what? Move on. She also created a good bond with people that eventually disappointed her btw and like I said, Tom is probably a nice guy. What's to criticize you ask? Well let me repeat: I'm sure he is a nice guy, but he is high in the ranks of an organization that is known to financially exploit its members, which is profiting him. He produces a movie and hires Gaga, so she is working for him. That kinda irks me. I just express that I wished she worked with someone else that is all.

Setting aside Gaga's friend's alleged labor issues (I'm talking about Tom not Amazon ) she's a mental health activist and founder of a mental health charity, while Tom uses his platform shame women for treating their postpartum, and denies the existence of depression.

Gaga, you can be friendly to everyone without being everyone's friend.

I get it. At the end of the day, I have some sympathy for Elisabeth Moss and Tom though even if they are a part of a cult. I feel like it's a morally gray area...those two were born into it slash got into it when they were still very young (I think Tom was 20).

IDK, there are a whole lot of sexual predators still working in Hollywood or people who have acted wildly inappropriate with women in general (people forget multiple women, including John Mulaney's ex wife, accused Ben Affleck of groping them...then you have David O. Russell with a bunch of A listers and so on). A lot of the famous rock stars and musicians, including ones Gaga has performed with, have been accused of sexual misconduct. There are Republicans and homophobes and racists...my unpopular opinion is I don't view Tom or Moss as bad as those people.

The wild thing about Tom is he allegedly makes sure everyone gets paid very well on movies he produces, down to like the caterers, which is why he's so well liked in the industry. So it's so hard to square that with Scientology...then again, tbf, the celebrities are treated differently so it's possible he hasn't been exposed to the labor issues in Scientology.

Well, it's one thing to work with someone like Tom Cruise (which from my perspective is nothing debatable), and even privately get friendly with them, but it's a whole other thing to dedicate a very public social media post to them calling them friend for millions of people to see.

I believe Madonna practices Kaballah, not Scientology. I'm not sure if she is still a Kabbalist, but she was at one point. It's very different from Scientology. For one, Kaballah is a form of Jewish mysticism. Unlike Scientology, it doesn't require followers to pay to be part of it, nor does it require you to cut off your entire family and friends who aren't also followers. It's also based on ancient traditions of Judaism, not science fiction works written by a con-man in the 1950's.
