I think I'm a Demigirl

So I am afab and I think I am a Demigirl, I feel like a woman most of the time and then sometimes I feel a little more gender neutral. My pronouns are still she/her and I am cis passing or androgynous most of the time. But I am still valid in my identity no matter what people say! I hope you will accept me even if you don't understand me.

Demigirl: A gender identity term for someone who was assigned female at birth but does not fully identify with being a woman, socially or mentally.  Heres the definition.

how is it different than non-binary? (not invalidating you, just confused)

It's under the nonbinary unbrella, so it is nonbinary since it is out of the traditional gender binary.

Bonkers

I find it perplexing anybody cares if someone identifies as non binary.  You mostly don't need to know unless they have a pronoun preference.

I don't mean that in a "I don't care what you are" kind of way, I just mean that it has so far never affected my opinion of someone because it doesn't tell me anything other than they are non binary.

I get what you're saying, I am happy that there are more accepting people out there.

I mean, non binary people are usually already somewhat obvious because most (not all) have always expressed their gender in a less typical way.  There's usually "something's up" with their gender.

The world has always been comfortable with "tom boys" - so why is it so jarring when they come out as non binary?  It doesn't mean they're gay, it doesn't mean they'll never have children.  It doesn't mean there's going to be any major changes in how they act, talk and dress...they're just going to continue being the same person, but now there's a word.

I just don't get why some people make a big deal out of it.

When I was little I loved playing with barbies and bratz, but I also loved Pokemon and hotwheels but I also hated being mistaken for a boy when I had short hair, so I have always been this way. I have always felt female but also something else just can't put my finger on it rn, so I just say genderqueer or demigirl.
