Well, Demi previously announced that she identified as non-binary and her pronouns were they/them. Now it looks like she's continuing her journey and is welcoming she/her pronouns.

Basically, there are no "rules". This is outdated and we need to wipe it. Humans are made to evolve and change. It's biology :bear:. So if Demi is now more in touch with a fem part of herself or whatever reason she added she/her, so be it! Literally doesn't impact us negatively in any way.

Please y'all be kind. The hate towards non-binary folks is far too much.

"No rules" except for you know 7.9 billion people to check her social media for her gender pronouns on any given day for the correct one. Life is difficult enough, no thanks.

so does this mean you can exclusively refer to demi as she/her? or as a mix (like halsey, i think?)

i saw the other day someone said their friend’s pronouns were he/they/she and to mix it all up in sentences and the caption was the most confusing thing i’ve ever read but you do you

My sibling came out as nonbinary and is fine with any pronouns, I'm used to she/her for my sibling so I use those for her, so using multiple pronouns is nothing new, it's what people are comfortable with using.

No one is "enbyphobic" in this thread - most of us are sick of famous gender grifters like Demi who claim they're non binary for attention and take the spotlight, but do nothing for the community.

Look at how much anti-trans legislation is being passed EVERY SINGLE DAY in the United States. Has Demi said a single thing about this? Has she used her platform to highlight how harmful this is to trans and non binary folks?

You can check her social media but I can also give you the answer myself: NOPE!

And here we are, a year later, and Demi is back to using she/her again after making a huge f*cking deal out of it when she came out.

See I would interpret it differently.  I would imagine the meaning is this:

"I'm non binary.  My pronouns are they/them, HOWEVER I'm not about it you use she/her"

I'm just speculating but that's the general vibe I get from most non binary people I know, that they like they/them, but they're not angry if people don't use that.

I am nonbinary as are most of my friends and am active in community in real lfie and online. The general consensus among folks who use multiple sets of pronouns is as I mentioned  - use both sets unless otherwise stated via preference or some other reason.

I wasn't talking about Demi in my post, I don't even like Demi, since she is a grifter, I was talking about stuff I've seen in general on here.

It saddens me since I myself am questioning my own gender identity (I think I'm demigirl as ironic as that sounds lol) and my sibling is nonbinary.
