I like it but it's gonna get old real quick for me mainly because the song doesn't really have enough of a low moment to balance out the intensity of the chorus. REALITY 77,301 Posted May 3, 2022 Share Posted May 3, 2022 I'm not gonna lie, the intro had me really worried there for a second, but the song is really good! It reminds me a lot of Before I Cry. I know that song isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I loved it, so I consequently loved this. I really started to feel it when the electric guitar kicked in. Overall, her vocals really shine through and I like the production a lot. I can't wait to see her perform this live!! Too many lyrics, not enough of a melody in the chorus- not as easy to sing along to. Too much repeating of “hold my hand”. Weak bridge. Is it that hard to write songs with good Melodies? I personally think it’s a fine song but it doesn’t feel as memorable as this one. Which is FINE because it’s incredibly hard to make memorable songs in general these days BUT to be on par with a massive hit... I think they did okay. emili0 1,507 Posted May 3, 2022 Share Posted May 3, 2022 -thought it was whatever on first listen. -second listen was much better. -definitely feels like a soundtrack song (lyrics are a bit too on the nose for Gaga’s standards). -would love for her to explore more production like this in the future. -chorus reminds me of When I Look At You by Miley (for the movie The Last Song).
