I never properly appreciated born this way until I was about 15-16 and trying to figure out who I was. I connected to hair in a particular way that I hadn’t ever experienced with a song before. Its direct references to not caring about what anyone thinks and its strong empowering message really touched me & assisted in my journey to finding myself. the weeks leading up to coming out I locked myself in my room & cried to her performance of hair on Howard stern. I used this song to imagine what life would be like once I could be out and proud and dancing in a club. Born This Way (obviously) - no explanation needed, but I do want to point out how amazing the production of this song is. Fashion of his love - Criminally underrated. This song makes me want to fall in love. Stupid Love - I was so depressed. 2019 was the worst year of my life. When this leaked, I remember being SO HAPPY. I truly feel like the energy of this song infected my life. Now I’m happier than ever. Enigma - my new favorite song. Truly the heart of Chromatica. Amazing.
