Trust me Sweden and Finland would rather not join but when your airspace and water is constantly invaded with simulations of nuke bombstrikes targeted at your country you kinda want to rethink your stance on thubgs. They really don't have any choice if they want guaranteed protection.

 

NATO should be abolished full stop. It has always been a tool by the US and its massive military industrial complex to bend European countries to its will by dangling the threat of the USSR and now Russian federation in front of them to get them to join. M And the amount of money funneled into the alliance is at the expense of money towards social welfare programs, etc. in each of these countries.

Honestly, NATO had no use until recently. I would much rather have an EU military union but since we don't have that, NATO is the only choice.
