The 1800-year-old marble bathtub, which was seized when it was about to be sold by historical artifact smugglers in Aydın’s Karacasu district, was delivered to the Aphrodisias Museum Directorate.

Experts stated that the 1-ton marble bathtub with reliefs of the lion’s head is not similar in Turkey.

The 1800-year-old marble bathtub weighs 1 tonne and is 1 meter 80 centimeters long. There are lion head reliefs on the right and left sides of the tub, and these reliefs represent power and power.

In context, the lion's historical range included all of Anatolia, the Middle East, most of the Indian subcontinent and the Balkans.

It got lions and all. But the size seems small? Maybe back then people are a bit smaller because of dietary reasons etc?? :oprah:

You may have in mind a modern luxurious jacuzzi and by comparison this seems unnormally small :sis:, but what you are saying is true. Because of dietary reasons, Romans were shorted compared to modern humans. Their height was mostly in the 1,60-1,70m range.
