Maybe if you wouldn't have been transphobic this wouldn't have happened? Shawn Mendes misgendered Sam Smith multiple times at an awards show, but he did not get much hate for it because people recognized it as a mistake and he also isn't transphobic which would make it look like he's doing it intentionally. For so long, we have been saying that massive-scale, state-sanctioned transphobia would open the floodgates for wider attacks on the LGBTQ+ community and a rollback of our rights... and here we are.
