What are your picks, and what do you think makes an album cover iconic?

taylor's reputation is one of the most interesting covers ive seen in my life ngl.

would the born to die/future nostalgia/after hours/dangerous woman (bunny ears used to be so iconic back then with the ari ponytail) cover be considered iconic? ig also maybe the beatles cover where their walking on the street.

After many career lows at the time she releases this and bends the world to her will. Seeing this image always sounds like the intro piano notes on "We belong together".

I've only just noticed now that her BTW unicorn tattoo has been edited out.

I wonder why she had that one removed in post but not the others you can see.

That's not what I said, I asked you not to be one

@Arcanum Don't you think Mariah stole her album concept off Christina's posted above? Christina's was in 2002, Mariah's in 2005. As pretty as Mariah's cover is, I rightfully saw someone point this out years ago.

I think an iconic cover just has to be remembered by a lot of people. 9 times out of 10, that means the album has to be super successful, though. It's rare to find an album that few people bought that winds up having an iconic cover. Also, if the artist uses a theme featured on their album throughout videos and performances, then it's definitely more likely to be considered iconic.
