Gurl not Taylor being irrelevant. If she becomes irrelevant then everyone will :messga:

I mean given the industry is ageist, I can definitely see all of our iconic favs falling out favor for younger/newer artist. It’s a natural cycle. But we’re just talking 10 years, she’ll be in her 40’s and still got it. If anything Taylor will probably be one of the few that sees success in her late 40’s kinda like Madonna up to her Confessions album.

The more interesting question might be who WILL be relevant?

Rihanna, Gaga, Taylor, Bey, Adele for sure. (Assuming they want to be)

Maybe Billie? Maybe Dua?

I feel like there’s a difference between being relevant and actively having super successful music. People who have been around for a while now and still are having success (Gaga, Taylor, Bruno, Ed, etc.) are pretty cemented in their impact and will always be relevant, even if their new singles don’t necessarily crack the top 40 as easily. Think of Elton John in the ‘80s or ‘90s, he still had hits and was still relevant but wasn’t in his heyday of having nonstop hits like in the ‘70s.

The artists who will still be at the top of their game in a decade will come from the list of artists who are still very fresh in their career (like Billie for example).

I can see Dua having a Katy Perry like career. Both of them were huge in their prime with massive pop hits and the GP on their side but after a while, people get bored and there’s no solid fanbase to rely on.

Katy Perry and Beyonce

I don’t like Beyoncé but no matter how much she flops, she will always be relevant.

I think She is less relevant today than 10 Years ago and this trend will continue. She has the name but music and artistry is not groundbreaking nor something that people talk about .
