Holy sh*t Ive just seen it and can confirm it’s actually really good.

i would say it’s because they brought Steve Kloves back as screenwriter, and they should keep him going forward. JO should not be writing these scripts. Crimes Of grindelwald is almost unwatchable. This one had me emotional from the first scene.

definitely going to see it again

That poor baby Bambi Qilin creature tho, I legit cried  🥺🥺🥺🥺

I thought she wrote the script also?

Yeah with Steve kloves this time. Had he not joined this time we would’ve gotten crimes of grindelwald level bad

Married the Night

The movie was flipping fantastic. Best entry in the series and they did it to where this works as the final sorry if need be or they can keep going. So good!

I saw it last night & generally enjoyed it. I love Jude Law as Dumbledore, & although I liked Johnny Depp as Grindelwald, Mads Mikkelsen was so fantastic as Grindelwald in the film. I’d say he played Grindelwald better than Depp did.

Only issue I had with it, was that I wanted more Dumbledore & Grindelwald in it.. their relationship/history is so intriguing. I also wanted more about Albus/Aberforth/Ariana in it - I was disappointed it was glossed over in a short conversation (though Law delivered it so well). Hoping there’s more films in future, but given all the controversies around it I can’t see it happening.

Worst movie I saw this year. Whole plot and character motivations doesn't make sense.

I'm not having fun tonight.

There is going to be 2 more films because we need to see the final battle between Grindlewald and Dumbledore (how he gets the elder wand)

And I also agree that Mads did an amazing job and better than Depp. (No shade, I love ALL Depp movies but I only saw Depp in TCOG and not Grindlewald.

The acting is great, it really is, the script is a burning dumpster fire.

Cody James

Loved it. Less Newt, more Albus though please. Queenie needs more screen time too in the future ❤️

Ok, went to see it a second time tonight and I have to say I enjoyed it much more (which often happens with movies I've been anticipating, I always need a moment to overcome the initial shock of discovery). Things that were confusing made much more sense, and there truly are some brilliant and clever moments. The prison scene is a highlight of the whole series. Truly hope they get to make another film, it would be a bummer for it to end there.

Exactly, we must throw more money at it. Go 20 times! :queenga:

Honestly this show is dealing less and less with magical beasts, they should just drop it :green:

I actually disagree with this criticism and am not sure where this is coming from. The whole plot literally revolves around a magical beast. And it can't all be about that, otherwise it's not a movie you need but a zoo.
