Im broke and I crucify people who buy from China. You pollute too much. Shop at vintage stores or Primark in ur city

What isn't made in China these days? They're main producers. Then all the smaller Poor Asian and Latin American countries that got cheap labor follows.

All smartphones and laptops are manufactured in China.

Even high fashion brands are made in china

People have ruined thrifting because everyone is obsessed with “flipping” designer finds. Our thrift stores in houston are actually increasing in price near the gayborhood here (thrifted pieces starting at maybe 25 and can range to well over 100 to 200) and why MUST people who can’t fit in typical sizes HAVE to thrift…. Sometimes the big girls wanna look good but shein is the only place where something fits at an affordable price. Especially if I have a one time event. Y’all are outta y’all mind w the ego trips. It is primarily privileged white people who are most vocal bout this things too.

Used to worry about the quality but after a few purchases,  i think the quality is better than some stuffs i got from cotton on and h&m.

Shein is definitely not very ethical... but neither is Primark, H&M, Zara and co. They all produce their stuff in Asia or 3rd world countries. The clothing industry as a whole is pretty much ****ed up. It's also because fashion changes so quickly... so who does that? I think It's a cultural thing as well because we all wanna adjust to new trends in order to not be considered "old-fashioned".

I stopped buying new clothes. I haven't bought a new piece in more than 2 years (only exceptions are underwear, bikinis, socks etc. obviously) but in my country there is a thrift webstore that sells used clothing (but most of it is pretty much new and in very good condition) and you can also save up a lot of money.
