I think her public perception (in the US) has gone downhill FAST, literally everyone I know thinks she is just cringey and/or racist. From the racism allegations, to the Cinderella movie (and infamous singing in the street with James Corden), and even her relationship with Shawn, most people see her as cringey or a try hard. The amount of viral tweets dragging her singing in Cinderella, the street performance, and her racism allegations are crazy. I almost never see anything viral about her that is positive. I think she needs to take a break and almost re-brand herself in the US.

For an album called "Familia", I expected this big heavy influenced latin record made entirely (or mostly) in Spanish, dealing with actual family topics. She could have even made a reggaeton record and catter to the latin public, which is what Becky G did.

Instead it turned out to be yet another watered down pop album with some latin music elements in certain songs that doesn't commit to the topic.

The racism allegations seem to have really put the nail in the coffin for her career. This is quite shocking, honestly. 💀

I think she was never going to last regardless of that, sure the allegations didn't help her case, 'Havana' was a fluke, the song became bigger than her thanks to a big label push and massive playlisting to the point the GP became familiar with the song but can't name the artist, 'Senorita' worked because of Shawn on it, for the rest all her solo stuff flopped already in the last era and without the Shawn duet that was added in the last minute in the album it would have been a flop already, the 'Fifth Harmony' hype is dead and buried, not to mention she doesn't have outstanding qualities as singer, she's very mediocre and the whole 'latina' imagine always felt forced (not a case she never used it when she was in the group) and a label choice to cater the latin market.
