REALITY 76,917
Perfect Illusion is a great song and it deserved so much more tbh A-YO should've been pushed more as a single, and even though I just said PI was a great song that deserved more, A-YO should've been the lead (with PI being a single later on) Million Reasons is one of her most iconic songs tbh. The Super Bowl helped it a ton A lot of the album has underrated songs (e.g., Come to Mama, Hey Girl, Grigio Girls, Just Another Day, etc.) Sinner's Prayer is overrated as f*ck. I don't get why people love it so much Joanne (the song) is ok. I also think it's kinda overrated 𝔊𝔬𝔬𝔡𝔟𝔶𝔢, ℑ'𝔩𝔩 𝔰𝔢𝔢 𝔶𝔬𝔲 𝔦𝔫 𝔪𝔶 𝔡𝔯𝔢𝔞𝔪𝔰
Rebel 5,221
Sinner's Prayer is one of her (top 25) best songs fr
Pennywise 36,079
Million Reasons sucks. Come to Mama is extremely cringeworthy and AYO should have been the lead single. I... don't think my opinions on this.... album, are quite unpopular, though So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.
Alannah 2,987
Ever since Five Foot Two came out and her talking about trying to resolve family trauma that wasn't hers, it breaks my heart knowing what she was trying to do. Even in the clip where she shared the song with her dad and grandma, it feels so cold. I know it's probably not the easiest environment to show vulnerability, given the crew and publicity of it all, but the "honey, that was a long time ago" hits me like a truck every time I watch it. When I listen to that album, I hear my own experiences trying to heal my family that will never be able to process the weight of their own traumas. Sinner's Prayer and Diamond Heart have some of my favorite lyrics, tho. Grigio Girls makes me so tearfully happy, I almost wish the entire album was dedicated to the platonic relationships in her life. While there's elements of that throughout Joanne, it feels lost with the bigger themes. It makes me hopeful for the music we'll get from future Gaga, who has a bit more self-healing under her belt. Mother of Puppies 36,456
Dancin' in Circles is an underrated masterpiece and the best song on the album. (for me that is ) THEY CALL ME LADY MOP
Suspiria 10,683
This album was in no way any more 'personal' or 'authentic' than any of her others. It was a very predictable career move to ""strip back"" after all the criticism about the excesses of the ARTPOP era, and felt very much like her giving in to all the critics and GP who didn't understand her performance art. Sonically and thematically it's a mess, just a random collection of mostly mediocre songs with no connection. Ultimately this era had very little impact on her career - everything fans say this album did was achieved either through C2C/tributes era, or later by ASIB. You can see from the Joanne sales that the public really wasn't listening to this album.

komr 414
I feel like Joanne would be less hated if it was cute short era that was followed up with something else very quick. We were starving after ARTPOP ended abruptly and then we were given this weird thing - neither analog authentic like it was advertised and not big crazy pop gaga too. If I was mean I would’ve said worst of both worlds but I’m not so I’m not gonna say it. When you think about it we haven’t had proper lady gaga era since Born This Way, and her main projects released after that were rather polarizing. I really wonder what’s next. Queen Gloria 3,464
Sinner's Prayer and Come To Mama are the best songs. I love Joanne and I don't agree with a lot of hate surrounding it. I liked normcore redneck-Ga. I also love Dancing In Circles, I don't get why so many people dislike it. It's like a sexier version of Teeth, imo. Crescent Bloom 1,083
1) Not the "career saving" album some fans think it is. Only thing that was "career saving" was ASIB, which I guess Joanne put her in contact with Mark ... but it feels so unimportant. 2) Feels like her least personal album (even though she claimed it was her most personal). The country aesthetic felt kinda put-on for put-on sake.
