  1. 1. Title

    • As huge as Shallow, worldwide success, joins the league of Bad Romance, Shallow, Poker Face
    • A commercial success, a la Rain On Me, Billie's No Time to Die, but not in the diamond-certified league.
    • Critical success, a la Til It Happens to You and Beyonce's "Be Alive", but no commercial impact.
    • Will be ignored and forgotten down the road, a la Ariana's "Just Look Up" and Diane Warren's 12 other Oscar nominations.
    • Will be cancelled last minute.

I think the film needs to be critically-acclaimed first... and I doubt TOP GUN will do that.

I will be just happy she releases a new song.

I hope there are crowd noises so people can hate on it and complain about it here.

That will push the song to its definitive success. :diane:

I think it depends on how successful and talked about the movie will be. It could be just like ASIB and Shallow, but also turn into a commercial dumpster fire :poot: .

Ew, David!

jacs vs looser

The fact that they asked many artists to do the song and Gaga got it is a good sign; however, its success will depend a lot on how well received the movie is by the GP.

If things go reasonably well, I could see it being a top 20 hit with good longevity.

The GP is living for Gaga right now. I think this could smash hard. It could be the song of the summer if it hits right. I cannot wait.

SIDE NOTE: Do we have any solid predictions right now on when the single will drop? Do themes usually drop on the week the movie is released, or earlier?

Movie songs usually depend on the movie itself. If the film is a big hit and the song is played in the right scene? Could be a cute top 10.

I don't think it'll be Shallow level hit no matter what. That's a once in a generation phenomenon

The impact I hope for is that more of the public will love Gaga.

I don't think it will be another Shallow. It's very rare to get a song take off like that one did.

"and Diane Warren's 12 other Oscar nominations."

Omg :air: that poor lady :bradley:

I'm guessing the No Time to Die level :lolly: I guess it depends on how popular the movie is too.

John Faltermayer, thenother person along side Gaga & Zimmer, is the guy who made Axel F, the iconic theme from Beverly Hills Cop. Which were then remade by Crazy Frog. And had won 2 Grammys.

Not sure what are the capacity of these two legends but it will good, I believe. However, the locals are weird, so  we have to wait and see how they will react to it.
