This is a really good album. I don't scrapped not even one song. Her best album for sure, from my part.

Wow. Easily the best work of her career. The melodies are so good and lyrically especially just so ****ing solid. She snapped hard

Yeah, def her best record. She has worked on this album for a whole year or more and the results are felt.

I loved the slow songs as well tbh. Boys don’t cry is sweet and everybody at this party does such a good job of helping you visualize the events. Also, Lola is so heartbreaking but such an important reminder of how things are in Cuba.

For me, Lola is the strongest track. Celia, Bam Bam, Hasta Los Dientes, Don’t Go Yet, and Everyone At This Party are all highlights. The only track I’m not really feeling is Psychofreak but I have to admit that WILLOW’s contribution does a lot for the song.

Great album start to finish. I thoroughly enjoyed her debut, she had pops of greatness with Havana, She Loves Control, Never Be the Same, but I felt like it was a little too short, and that her followup would fill in the gaps. Then Romance just felt... flat? And kinda meandering? Nothing about it was outright terrible, it just wasn't exceptional.

but she really hit her stride with this one. Virtually all of the songs are bangers, and she really seems to have found her sound (which is itself an interesting amalgamation of several influences). Hasta Los Dientes, La Buena Vida, Celia, Psychofreak, and Don't Go Yet are standouts.

Very short and sweet but pleasant. La Buena Vida and No Doubt are definitely the standouts. She's always been aware of her cultural heritage but she really got into this by really shining on the Spanish tracks. Can't say I can get into Hasta Los Dientes, though, it just sounds bland. I don't know why so many are saying how awesome Psychofreak is, it's just ok and doesn't really fit with the rest of the cohesive sound, it was just like she wanted to have a hit-worthy single. I think out of all the songs, Quiet seems like a big contender for the next single, for sure, I could see that becoming a big hit if promoted right. I thought it was going to be a happier album based on what she said before, however, and it really isn't about family but about her break up. I also thought Bam Bam would have totally fit much better as the final track as that would've been an upbeat way to finish the album as it symbolises moving on. She said herself in an interview that most of the album is when she's in the thick of the pain at the time and Bam Bam is the wisdom after the fact, so I don't know what it's doing so early into the album.

I still stand by the idea of Romance being her best album. But this comes a close second.
